Recital Event: FXU Creative Writing Society
Tuesday 8th May 2018 – 7pm Exchange Lecture Theatre (Penryn Campus)
The Creative Writing Society was started as a safe space for people to come and share their creative output, whatever it may be, in a group of like-minded people who are passionate about writing. No matter their degree, everyone is able to share what they’ve been working on and hone their writing and editing skills to a level that they can be proud of.
To showcase the fantastic first year of the Creative Writing Society and the talent of their members, the society is getting together to perform individual pieces of work that they have worked on over the course of this Academic year. The chosen theme is ‘Stress’ – conveniently chosen to highlight the exam season and the creative piece can be written in whatever form the individual wishes. Some of the pieces of work that will be performed consist of works of poetry, short stories, extracts from longer pieces of prose and spoken word pieces. If you are not a member, you are still welcome to perform! They can be contacted via their Facebook page (linked below) if you are interested. It’s a free event and everybody is welcome.
