The team is aiming to teach CPR to as many people as possible during the time – currently 60% of people in Britain have never been trained in the life-saving skill. Throughout the 12 hours, the committee will make 86,4000 compressions and burn 7920 calories.

The group, made up of the six committee members of the FXU society, are aiming to raise £150 for St Johns Ambulance Service. Donations will be collected on the day as well as through a Just Giving fundraising page (www.justgiving.com/fundraising/First-aid-society-tremough).

A  free-entry raffle will be held and is open to all that participate in the event. Prizes include a £20 Harbour Lights voucher as well as a free Cornish cream tea.

To find out more about the event, head over to the society’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/FirstAidSocietyTremough/?hc_ref=SEARCH and the team look forward to seeing you then.
