Do you love telling stories? Do you have a passion for writing, editing or editorial video/photography? 

If you’re looking to enhance your university experience, the Falmouth Anchor are offering the exciting opportunity to gain writing, editing and publishing experience. As Cornwall’s award winning, and only, student newspaper, the Falmouth Anchor offers a unique take on local, student and world-wide issues. We’re a hardworking, friendly team of students looking to represent the student voice of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter. 

Becoming a part of the Falmouth Anchor team is great experience for students wishing to pursue a career in journalism or media, however we also welcome all students who are just looking to have a go at something new.

Write for Us

We’re always looking for people to write for us and to expand the range of content at the newspaper. Whether you want to try your hand at journalism, or are looking to expand your portfolio, we welcome your ideas and will consider all articles sent in.

If you wish to join our writing team, please join our  ‘Falmouth Anchor – Content Calls’ Facebook group and respond to a content call, or send a short paragraph outlining your article idea (a pitch) to editor@falmouth-anchor.co.uk email and conform to the following formatting:

  • Word Document
  • Name and date – top right hand side
  • No more than two paragraphs
  • All multimedia must be appropriately accredited
